Chowle Farmhouse Bed & Breakfast

Situated in the heart of the Thames Valley, near the market town of Faringdon is the luxurious bed and breakfast accommodation of Chowle Farmhouse.

All four en-suite rooms, one of which is situated on the ground floor of this small working farm, come complete with super king or twin beds, tea and coffee making facilities, complimentary soft drinks, and flowers from the garden. The bedrooms are also equipped with CD player/radio alarm clock. Flat screen television with Freeview, hairdryer, spacious en suite facilities including heated towel rails, a choice of bath or super power shower and a selection of complimentary toiletries.

The dining room has private tables and breakfast offers a delicious and varied menu of freshly prepared home cooked food using locally sourced ingredients where possible and homemade preserves. The full English breakfast is a speciality, consisting of home produced eggs and family reared bacon. Special Dietary needs can be catered for upon request.

Alongside comfortable bed and breakfast, guests staying at Chowle Farmhouse can also take advantage of their heated 36’ x 18’ outdoor swimming pool, nine hole putting green, spacious garden and patio area, wireless internet access and a large secure car park, making this an ideal place for a relaxing holiday.

Ideally situated, Chowle Farmhouse has excellent transport links to the Thames Valley, Cotswolds and beyond. The historic market towns of Faringdon, Wantage, Witney, Newbury, Cirencester, Hungerford and Marlborough are all within easy reach. While Swindon, one of the fastest developing towns in Europe, with its Designer Outlet Shopping Village, is just 15 minutes drive away and the historic city of Oxford, 20 minutes away. Many pubs and restaurants offering delicious home-cooked food can be found in the surrounding area. If you prefer, Janet will prepare a delicious evening meal, by prior arrangement.

For outdoor enthusiasts, there is much to see and do close by, with an abundance of public footpaths and pretty towns and villages to explore. Pets are welcome by prior arrangement and guests may also bring their horses, making this a wonderful location to enjoy a horse riding holiday in the English countryside.

Road Directions

From the M40
Exit J9 onto the A34. Turn off at Botley slip road and at roundabout take A420 to Swindon. Continue to Faringdon, continue straight along by-pass, over 2 roundabouts and past Faringdon Golf Course on right. Chowle Farmhouse entrance is just past Faringdon Business Park, on right -look out for sign. Please note we are not in the village of Great Coxwell, we are beside the A420.

From the M4
Exit J15, take A419 signed Cirencester. Take A420 signed to Oxford. Follow A420 for 9 miles to Watchfield Roundabout by McDonalds. Continue along A420 for 1 mile - mind the speed camera.
Pass the disused Plough Inn and after 200 yards turn left into entrance - well signed.
Please note we are not in the village of Great Coxwell, we are beside the A420.
