The Bothy

The Bothy at Upton Fruit Farm

Recently refurbished to a high standard, the Bothy is a spacious single storey cottage attached to Upton Fruit Farm House. The cottage provides comfortable and roomy accommodation for four people. The Bothy is tucked away in an award winning 16 acre cider orchard, and the property has extensive views of both the Berkshire Downs and the Chiltern Hills. The Bothy offers the opportunity to stay in a peaceful location in the Oxfordshire countryside, in a working orchard frequented by deer, red kites and woodpeckers; but with convenient access to main roads and rail links.

The interior design is contemporary with high quality fittings. There is a large sitting/dining room, kitchen/breakfast room, utility room, family bathroom (with shower over bath), and entrance hall. One of the two bedrooms contains a king-size double bed, the other bedroom has two full size single beds and space for cot. Thermostat controlled oil-fired central heating and electricity, linen and towels and free Wi-Fi access are all included in the price. High chair and travel cot available on request, but not cot linen. Complimentary tea and coffee on arrival.

At the side of the building, there lies a large grass area for the sole use of the Bothy, with tables and chairs overlooking the orchard. Parking is available for several cars.

Near to Harwell Science Park, and Didcot mainline station for London Paddington (45 minutes by train). Wonderful walking country with the Ridgeway close by, and of course the village pub. Local attractions include the Steam Railway Centre at nearby Didcot, and Oxford is just 17 miles drive to the north, with its colleges, castle and museum. The River Thames is also not far away, with the riverside market-towns of Wallingford, and Henley.
