Christmas Shopping Weekend

Treat yourself to some Christmas Shopping at leisure. Enjoy a glass of bubbly and a mince pie with our compliments whilst browsing. Also enjoy the Carol Singers and Bell Ringers who will be entertaining us at intervals throughout the weekend. Friends and family are very welcome. No parking fees, no lugging your shopping for miles…..and we’ll even wrap your presents for you! And don’t forget we’ve lots of entertainment for the children whilst you’re shopping.

British Birds & Gundogs

Didcot is home to artist, Adrian Smart, who’s exhibiting his photo-realistic style of artwork depicting British birds and gundogs in The Long Room until Saturday 25th October. A lifelong passion for wildlife, Adrian has been drawing and painting mainly birds for over 40 years. Adrian has received much interest from art collectors and publishers - he’s had commissions from the British Trust for Ornithology, RSPB, Harper Collins, Daily Mail and is currently illustrating a book on British Garden Birds.

Animal Sculptures

Sophie Thomson creates sculptures of animals from scrap metal and old farm machinery on her small-holding in Milton-under-Wychwood (just outside Chipping Norton). Her work has sold globally and is highly collectable. One of her full-sized horses was recently used in the film Lady Godiva! She has an amazing ability to capture the personality and movement of animals. Sophie works mainly to commission but some examples of her work are currently displayed on the lawn opposite Tiny Toes.

Animal Bronzes

Sculptor Sarah Coward’s limited edition bronzes are created using the traditional 3000 year old lost wax process. Sarah grew up in North Dorset in a farming family and now lives in Wiltshire. A keen falconer and a qualified veterinary nurse, her extensive knowledge of animal anatomy is clearly demonstrated in her work. Sarah’s been sculpting since 1998 and has a continually expanding portfolio of around thirty limited edition bronzes in addition to numerous unique commissions.

Poultry Houses

Simon Lea makes the most fabulous goose, duck and chicken houses. Made in Milton-under-Wychwood from recycled materials they’re currently displayed at the entrance to The Gallery. Simon has lots of designs and styles and is happy to work with customers if they have anything particular in mind. So, if you’ve been toying with the idea of rescuing a couple of battery hens but haven’t found anything grand enough to house them in yet…..here’s your answer!

Jill Northam Fabrics

Jill Northam has a fabulously fresh collection of fabrics for the family home. Fine cottons and linens, sheer voiles and wide width wallpaper. Playful hedgehogs, graceful giraffes, gentle angel fish. Gingham with a twist. Delicate hearts and dainty florals add a dash of country house elegance. Nostalgic candy coloured storybook print promises adventure-packed dreams. Jolly sailing boats and smart silver-capped sailors with tidy stripes. There is also a collection of indulgent nursery and homewares all handmade by her seamstresses on the Suffolk coast.

Kitchen Bits & Bobs

We’ve a wonderful new range of hand painted and decorated wooden home accessories all made in Lincolnshire. Chalkboards, tissue boxes, key racks, egg racks, trugs and much more. Decorated with cockerels, hearts, cupcakes, stripes, spots or flowers they’ve a very country look about them. We’ve also a new gorgeous and handy range of fabric home accessories all hand made in County Durham using a myriad of fabrics. Wall hangings, doorstops, draught excluders, lavender stacks and hearts, peg bags and much more.
