Adam Ball from Fox FM will be doing his Drive Time Show all evening live from Wantage!
Santa on his sleigh with real reindeer,
Donkeys, Victorian Fun fair, Fire Engine, Pig Roast, Charity Stalls, Refreshments
Market Square Programme by Christmas Tree:
• 6.00 Adam Ball from Fox FM will switch on Christmas Tree lights, then the Parish Church Bells will ring, then Wantage Silver Band will begin playing Seasonal Music,
• 6.45 St Denys Handbell Ringers
• 7.20 Seasonally dressed Children from The Karen Brind School of Dance
• 7.30 Communal Carols with Wantage Silver Band
• 8.00 Circle Dancers
• 8.30 Icknield Way Morris Dancers
Outside Sainsburys programme:

Local Services Point:
• 7.00 Presentation of Prizes by the Mayor to Winners of Painting Competition - pictures displayed all evening.
Parish Church:
Open from 5.30 onwards stalls, mulled wine, tea & coffee with mince pies and shorbread
• 5.30 The Parish Church will open with the children from Wantage Church of England Primary School singing a few Christmas Carols.
• 7.30 Parish Church Choir will lead the Community Carol Singing in the Market Place
• 8.15 Parish Church Choir will sing carols in the Church
• 8.35 12 Days of Christmas Raffle Draw
• 9.00 Parish Church Closes
Vale & Downland Museum:
It is the 50th Anniversary year of the Museum in Wantage and 25th since the formal opening at the present site.
• Free access to Galleries - everything from fossils to Formula 1
• Farmers' Market with lots of gifts, edible and otherwise
• St John Vianney Choir singing Carols
• Folk music from Pandemonium
• Father Christmas in his Grotto
• Cafe services with Mulled wine, minced pies etc.
• Official opening of the Rail in the Vale model railway exhibit
St Andrews School:
Open for evening, stalls, refreshments etc.
Other events include Seasonal Music from Wantage Silver Band, Communal Carol Singing, Traditional Dancing, Victorian Sideshows, and lots, lots more.
